Our basic mission: To see significant and/or interesting films playing in the greater San Francisco Bay Area and then to go somewhere close by afterwards to eat, drink, share company and discuss the films we just watched. The Red Lantern: Bay Area Asian Cinephiles, based in San Francisco, is the world's largest Meetup for Asian films.  In theaters and in private venues, we explore the high, the low and the everything-in-between of Asian cinema, from Woo to wuxia, from Ozu to "Zatoichi."

The North Bay Film Group is a terrific group of men and women who enjoy seeing a wide variety of movies including indies, documentaries, blockbusters, and foreign films. This group is focused on fostering the genuine enjoyment of seeing an interesting film with others, and having an stimulating discussion about it afterwards!
